Bored?!!
You know the scenario. Your child comes up to you in a high pitched whine and proclaims their boredom status. And you, being the parent you are, tells them that you can think of plenty of things for them to do....clean their bedroom, wipe off the table, mow the lawn, etc...etc... I am ashamed to say this....but I am bored. I don't want to unpack any more boxes. I'm sick of hammering in nails and arranging pictures. There's nothing on t.v. to watch. My book is lame. What am I to do? I had all these hopes of things I would do with my free time. I was going to tackle some of those fun projects that I never had time for. Instead, I check my clock every couple minutes, looking forward to the sound of the door knob turning and the loud voices that come with it, proclaiming, "I'm bored."

Ooo look it is a little Lyndee! Call me 802-586-9900!
ReplyDeleteLyndee...I'm bored. Does that help?;D
ReplyDeleteI know the feeling, it's hard to settle into a new place.
Misty, I think that's part of my problem. I know that if I leave the house, I'll spend money and I really want to be goood. I need to find a good park that I don't mind hanging out at. Chris wants me to visit museums with him. I need to stop being picky.
ReplyDeleteLauren, I'd love to call. Have EARLY church tomorrow that only last an hour (new ward added to stakes so new bishoprics, though, I think our's will remain the same) so I'll be DONE at 9am. I can call you after that. I'll try waiting till I know you'd be home.
Chastine, how can we be bored? There's so much to do. I think repetition can be boring and that's what unloading boxes is...repetition. How's your home going? Curse this moving business.
Now thats irony!
ReplyDeleteIm going to facing a similar situation next month when my four year old starts pre school. Ive been looking forward to this moment for almost 5 1/2 years. I hope its as lovely as Ive imagined it to be all these years.
I want to be so careful of how I say this. Because of training for the preschool teachers last week, my daughter was home Thursday and Friday. Her always wanting/needing my attention didn't help my issues. I wish I could figure it out. She went back today and I did a lot better.
ReplyDeleteWhen I was in school I couldn't wait to graduate so I could scrapbook, sew, read, etc. Reading was the only I did. Nothing else 'productive'
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by my blog! I will find out my brother in laws chap prices and let you know ASAP.
